Eligibility Criteria
- Be a third-country national (non-EU, non-EEA, non-Swiss)
- Not be from any country sanctioned by Maltese authorities
- Not currently benefit under any other Malta residency or citizenship programme
- Have a stable and regular income to support themselves and dependants
- Enjoy a Safe, English-Speaking, and Culturally Rich Country
- €500,000 total, of which €150,000 must be financial assets OR €650,000 total, of which €75,000 must be financial assets
- Have a clean criminal record
- Pass a comprehensive due diligence screening
- Not pose any risk to Malta’s national security or public interest
Application Requirements (for 2025 Onward)
- Submit application through a licensed agent
- Pay a non-refundable administrative fee of €50,000
- Renting property in Malta/Gozo (minimum €14,000/year)
- Purchasing property in Malta/Gozo (minimum €375,000)
- Pay a Government Contribution of €60,000 (if renting) or €30,000 (if purchasing).
- Pay €10,000 for each dependent added to the application
- Maintain qualifying property for a minimum of 5 years
- Make a €2,000 donation to a registered Maltese NGO
- Hold valid travel documents and health insurance covering Malta and the EU
